1. Happy New Year.

2. Kami melukis di jalan Tan Hiok Nee, JB. Sedang kami melukis, kami berjumpa Mr Tan Chai Puan, orang kuat persatuan Jln Tan Hiok Nee. Dia jemput kami buat pameran di galerinya di hujung jalan. Sekarang sedang proses ubah suai. Mungkin, bulan depan siap.

3. Kemudian kami ke Tokong lama Jln Trus. TV8 sedang buat promosi tahun kambing di sana.

Taman Ekologi 29/11/2014

Kami ke Taman Ekologi, Hutan Bandar. Ada sebuah bangunan siap tapi tidak digunakan seperti yang dirancang, Mungkin duitnya sampai situ sahaja.

Bangunan ini usaha sama MBJB dan Pelancongan. Mungkin nak pamer species orkid dan pameran geologi. Kami panggil tempat ni Johorasik Park. Hi hi hi. Ada ura-ura nak hidupkan tempat ni jadi Youth Hub. Looking forward to that.

LOT ONE JB WATERFRONT

Pendas Laut, Gelang Patah, 15 Nov 2014

15 nov 2014 we went to Pendas. Pendas is part of iskandar Region Development area. Soon, the traditional slow pace lifestyle here will be gone. On the other side of the river, we see land being cleared to make way for construction. Sad to see old fishing village being bulldozed and soon forgotten. 

KUKUP, PONTIAN & MUAR

The month of October saw many sketching activities. The notable ones were:

1. Pontian and Sketchwalk on 22 October, the same date as the Deepavali holiday. We sketched the Pontian fishing pier in the morning then in the afternoon we went to Kukup to do Stilt Village.

2. On 25 Oct we joined Muar Sketchwalk, organized by NBB Gallery. There, we learn that Muar has so many historical buildings and good food. After the sketchwalk, we were treated with high tea by the gallery at a restaurant. And we did a share session in the restaurant. The owner of the gallery, Mr Ivan, shared some tips on gallery operation.

Pontian Kechil 04 Oct 2014

1. Tok Rimau, Hafizal, Azi (Kuching Sketcher), Ryan and Amin went to Pontian Kechil. 

2. The fisherman was kind enough to let us take a look at his boat.

3. Lunch at gerai tepi laut. There was a fly in Ryan's drink.

Sketching Georgetown, Penang 4-7 July 2014

Beberapa ahli Johor Sketchers turut serta dalam sketchwalk besar yang dianjurkan oleh Urban Sketchers Penang. Lebih kurang 200 sketchers serantau hadir memeriahkan suasana.

Johor Sketchers diwakili oleh Hafizal, Jaie, Tokrimau, Buzz dan Eric. Kita juga bertemu sketchers dari Johor yang bukan dalam Johor Sketchers. Mereka akan turut serta kelak.
